With a unique, proprietary technology and innovative thermal properties, Celsius glass is the ideal choice for conservatories where there tends to be excessive or insufficient heat depending on the time of year.
Heat from the home is reflected back into the property, whilst solar heat is deflected away.
Celsius One and Celsius Elite are blue tinted and suitable for conservatory roofs. Celsius Clear can be used on North facing installations in the roof to maximise the light transmission, but in other installations it is most commonly used for the side frames and doors in order to provide the greatest insulation benefits for the whole conservatory.
Improved insulation by over 60%
In an age when energy efficiency is paramount our product outperforms standard glass units by 50%, thereby reducing potentially expensive heating bills. A unique micro-coating is applied to the glass, which ensures heat from inside the home is reflected back into the property rather than lost through the glazing. This means Celsius can have a U-value of just 0.9 compared to 2.4 for standard double glazed units. The U-Value provides an indication of the insulation properties of the glass.
Greater Heat Reflection by 78%
The unique solar coating reflects 78% of total solar energy; nearly three times that of standard glass. Its ability to reflect so much solar heat can prevent conservatories from overheating during hot weather.
Reduced Glare
Celsius glass reduced glare compared to a standard double glazed unit. The subtle blue tint applied to the glass gives a visible light transmittance of 34-38% and reduces the uncomfortable glare that can occur with ordinary glass products. At the same time, it still allows sufficient light through for the conservatory to be enjoyed on duller days.
Improved Sound Insulation
A further impressive benefit of Celsius is its ability to significantly reduce the impact of outside noise levels. A Celsius glazed roof offers twice the sound insulation of a typical 25mm glazed polycarbonate roof.
Minimal Maintenance
Celsius is treated with a unique ‘easy clean’ coating. This enables rainwater to run off the glass taking most dirt and grime with it. In this way, it reduces the build up of unsightly deposits and in turn, the need for regular manual cleaning.
